I really can’t thank you enough! My anxiety is basically gone, my confidence is back, my love for fitness is back, I feel great and love that I’m setting a good example for my son. I burst into tears seeing the comparison pics; that girl in the first photo had given up and hated so much about herself – the second one is a proud and confident mum with a zest for life and healthy living!

I have learnt so much in the past 8 weeks about food and nutrition. Although everybody’s different, I can say that this is an eating regime that can make serious long-term differences. I am especially thankful for the effect that it has had on my husband, even though we both have a long way to go.
All kinds of good things have happened for us in this eight week challenge. I wouldn’t say that we didn’t have teething issues but we have seen some positive outcomes.
The husband has lost enough weight that he has been given the okay regarding no-medication for blood pressure and Hashimoto’s. But he still needs to lose another 30 kg. (Yeah, we’re stuck with this eating regime for life! )
I have a lot of comments about my noticeable weight loss at church. I didn’t even have to start preaching about the horrors of wheat and sugar either!
My daughter’s acne seems to be clearing up as well. She’s lost a few kilos even without trying.
Before this challenge I was desperate. I had been struggling with sleep issues for years. In the early days I thought it was work-related stress, or a lack of physical activity. But even after leaving a highly stressful work environment and increasing physical activity, I was still not really getting enough sleep or quality sleep. I began to wonder after a very long period of reflecting and trying all kinds of things, that if diet wasn’t actually at the heart of things.
There’s also family history of cancer, arthritis and perhaps a predisposition towards diabetes. I’d been wanting to go on a low carbohydrate diet for a decade because I knew eventually I’d had to deal with it. Then of course there’s my other half who was overweight and diagnosed with all kinds of related medical conditions (including an autoimmune issue).
When Miriam advertised the 8-week challenge at her Zumba classes, something about what she said resonated with me. What I did not realize is that I was embarking on a journey of educating myself regarding food consumption. I had no idea that diet had such far-reaching ramifications on general well-being that goes beyond weight-loss.
What you get in the 8-week programme is Miriam and Karen and their holistic approach to eating. It isn’t all about diet and movement, the challenge also addresses mindset issues that need reprogramming – starting with our sometimes turbulent relationship with food. Through this past few weeks, I’ve been learning to eat more mindfully, leisurely (I was a lifelong gulper-down of food) and having smaller portions. This is an aspect that I’d never really even considered as a point of differentiation.
Since starting the programme, I’d been doing a lot of my own research and have come to conclusion that our modern diets are much more responsible for the onslaught of health and mental issues in recent decades. In this 8 week programme it’s all about getting back to the basics and if you consider a healthy, productive life a priority, then this is an excellent launch pad for doing so.Lilian Cheah
I was trying to eat LCHF the week before the challenge started, I did cheat though with some sweet treats, because I knew there’d be none when I started the challenge! Lol. When I weighed myself after just one week, I was 4kg lighter and feeling great!
This is now week 8, and I have lost 7 kg. and I’ve just taken my measurements this morning and I’m blown away with my results!
Chest – 7.5cm., Butt – 6.5cm . Thighs – 7.5cm., Belly Button – 11.5cm. and Waist – 7.5cm. That’s 40.5cm in total!
I’m feeling great and will be continuing on with this journey. I’ve had no problems following the eating plan, or the recipes.
I’m 67 years old and have been looking for a healthy way of eating for a long time – my mindset has always been to eat low fat food, and I couldn’t get the sugar habit under control no matter what I tried! I was always feeling tired and bloated. I’d get off sugar for a week or so but couldn’t stay off it. It’s such a relief not to have to think about it.
My mindset has changed in both those areas and that comes with information from Karen and Miriam, thank you both!!😊

I am currenty in Week 5 of the 8 Week Healthy You Challenge, and going strong. Before I joined this challenge, I used to eat anything I liked at any time of the day, putting on those extra kilos. I challenged myself to be a part of the 8 week program, and to date I’ve lost 6 kilos and feel amazing! I love the fact that I get a weekly menu plan, and all the recipes to go with it, eliminating the need to work out what to eat every day. It’s all done for me! And I love all the recipes, I don’t feel like I’m missing out at all. I’m also doing a little more exercise than I did, and the mindfulness videos from Karen help us with our relaxation and discovering ways to handle our emotions and those negative voices in your head. Still a few more weeks to go, looking forward to discovering more, and I would thoroughly recommend this challenge to anyone. Give it a go! You can do it! 🙂Sandra Panjas
I will admit, I wasn’t sure about doing a LCHF plan, but decided to give it a good go. I almost fell off the scales this morning when I saw a 3.5kg loss!!! I’ve done many “plans” in the past and never had a loss like that in the first week ever. I’m so happy and loving the amazing recipes and cooking healthy again. I’m not even missing any of the things I’ve stopped eating, but strangely craving an apple 😂
Hubby is following along too, and enjoys helping with the cooking etc. Neither of us eat red meat, but this hasn’t been a problem as we’re used to substituting with either fish or chicken.
Had the Mediterranean Chicken bake tonight instead of tomorrow night…. OH MY GOODNESS!!! This is amazing!! Miriam we are absolutely loving these yummy recipes!! Soooo good lol #lchf 💕
